Technical Certifications
Microsoft Gold Certified Partner - This is the highest level partner certification offered by Microsoft. Netropole has multiple specific competencies including Networking Infrastructure Solutions.
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) - assures expertise in designing and implementing the computer network infrastructure for businesses using the Microsoft Windows 2003 platform and the Microsoft Windows Server System.
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) - certification to manage and troubleshoot system environments running on the Microsoft Windows operating system.
Network+ - CompTIA Network+ Certification is an international industry credential for assuring the knowledge of networking professionals with at least nine months’ experience in network support or administration or comparable academic training. Network+ is vendor neutral and was developed from industry-wide job task analyses. Consultants with Network+ certification can describe the features and functions of networking components, as well as install, configure and troubleshoot networking hardware, protocol and services.
A+ - is comparable to Network+, but is designed for professionals with the equivalent of 500 hours of hands-on experience. It is a vendor-neutral certification for service technicians covering a broad range of hardware and software technologies. It includes installation, configuration, diagnosis, preventive maintenance and basic networking.
Security + - This certification requires industry-standard knowledge and competencies for managing information security. Some of what is covered includes:
- Identify and help mitigate security risks—essential concepts
- Know and apply the basic principles of cryptography, keys, and certificates
- Monitor and help secure vulnerabilities in TCP/IP and network infrastructure
- Help protect e-mail, RAS, VPNs, wireless services, and other online communications
Microsoft Small Business Specialist – this certification requires experience and testing with the Small Business Server platform. This platform bundles a number of applications (Windows Server, Exchange, SQL Server, SharePoint, etc) that is priced far below the cost of the applications sold separately. This makes Small Business Server a good value for companies with less than 75 employees.
